Research

My research focuses on developing advanced deep learning-based methodologies to combat harmful and undesirable information across online networks and social media platforms. This work addresses several critical cybersecurity and digital-safety challenges, including understanding the demographic factors that influence susceptibility to workplace phishing, mitigating offensive and toxic content on social media, and evaluating the effectiveness of multimodal transfer learning techniques in detecting and preventing the spread of fake news. I am a faculty member at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC).
